Brocade Clutch

I was like a fart in a skillet yesterday and whipped up this bag. It is black with silver dragonflies. It was the first time I ever sewed with brocade. WHAT A MESS! I think that the next time I sew with brocade, I will fold all the edges over so they don’t fray. I [...]

The Dead Code

You know you are getting older when you start saying, “they don’t make them like that anymore.” Well, in the case of good movies, that is how I feel. I loved watching the movies in the 80′s. I drooled over Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon movies. Oh yeah. He was a hunk back then [...]

Based on the memoir by John Grogan, you can listen to excerpts and read about the book on the website. [...]

Turner and Hootch

Today, hubby and I watched the movie, Turner and Hootch. That is a great movie! I had forgotten so many parts of that movie and was so glad to watch again. I forgot about all the drool that dog had. Oh my goodness! Tom Hanks was so young and skinny when he made that movie.

Oh wow! We watched a great dvd last night. It was Fracture, starring Anthony Hopkins. I am still trying to figure out all the little details that made up the story. Anthony Hopkins plays an architect who is very eccentric. He has a wire gadget where you put metal balls onto the wires and depending [...]

We saw the previews for the movie Fracture and thought it looked like a good movie. It stars one of the best actors, Anthony Hopkins. He gets into a part and makes you feel like he is that person. It is hard to believe he is 70 years old. He has been in some great [...]

Disgusting Guy

A few days ago I talked about the movie we watched called Breach. It was based on the true story of Robert Hanssen an FBI agent who sold government secrets to the Soviet Union. I am always intrigued by bad guys and so I have been digging a bit for the story of this guy. [...]
