Ruffled Pillow for Fall

I belong to a quilt guild that encourages participation. This month, we are to make a pillow with an appliqued pumpkin. The pillow we saw as an example was made with Halloween fabrics. It was so cute. I made mine in fall colors so it could be used for fall instead of just Halloween. I finished it by putting beads on the vines. It closes in the back with Velcro so it can be washed. It was fun to make. I used iron on fusible webbing to adhere the appliqued pieces. I machine stitched a blanket stitch around the leaves, pumpkin and stem. I hand embroidered the vines and the center of the leaves. I want to make some more of these!
