Creating a Bug Hat

Life has been interrupting my sewing time! How do you find time to sew? Laundry, mowing the grass and other obligations keep me occupied when I would like to be at my machine. I have a few unfinished projects I would like to complete. This is all I got done last week.

My husband asked me to add some tulle to a hat in order to make a hat that would keep the bugs from biting him while he fishes.

Living in a very buggy place, I think that hat is completely awesome! I need one of my own, but I agree with Lynne. I need something to cover my wrists too.

Thankfully, he didn’t need it! The bugs weren’t too bad. He is gone again this week so hopefully the bugs have found a new home.
