Green for Spring

It finally warmed up here in Indiana. We will surely have spring fever after experiencing today’s higher temperatures. I can’t say it was warm exactly but it was warmer and the sun was shining. I got in the mood to make something out of a pretty green fabric.

This purse went quickly once I figured out the directions. I think I’d make it again just so I can make the pleats hang more even. I made the gathering by sewing a stitch around each side of the fabric and pulling the thread to draw it up. It was hard to tell how much fabric was gathered in the right places. I have a few tricks to try next time I make this bag. I am also thinking of some fabrics this would be pretty in. How about a black and white hounds tooth check?

It does look very spring. Someone’s going to really enjoy that. Looks like a good purse for the younger set I think. They like those bag type purses they can throw lots in. lol

We still have snow on the ground, but the sun was out and did melt some today.

Glad you enjoyed the warmer temps.
