Purple and Green, A Lovely Combination
Do you think I was in fabric heaven yesterday? I visited two quilt shops in one day. When my mom is not living where it is warm, in Arizona, she lives near me here in Indiana and we visit fabric stores and quilt shops quite regularly. While she is gone, I lack motivation to get out in the blustery weather to keep track of the latest greatest finds in fabric. Yesterday however, I had to attend a meeting in Indianapolis so along the way I visited two quilt shops and added to my greens and purples collection. Don’t you just love the way purples and greens flow together yet have a distractive quality at the same time? Here are my purples and greens so far.
I am thinking of what type of purse to make using purples and greens and have narrowed it down to choosing from these styles.
A This purse has pockets inside and a zipper closure. I can make it with 22″ (9″ drop) cloth handles as shown or use wood handles. Like these:
It measures approx. 15″ across and is 9″ tall.
BThis next purse is my best seller. It has a pocket on the outside, three pockets on the inside and closes with a zipper. It has cloth handles, 25″ from end to end (approx. 12″ drop) and measures approx. 12″ wide and 10″ tall.
What did you think of my spooky cemetery? did you notice the new template?
LOVE the purples and greens. I can’t remember which purse I picked out previously. I remember we talked about the size, something large enough for laptop…did we do that in an email or in a blog comment? I’ll check my email.
Definitely not the wooden handle, and it had a heavy duty zipper. Was it the large quilted tote? The one I can see here in the upper right for $40.00?
