I missed this one but sounded like you had a wonderful time. The VW Love Bug bag is really great. Karen, you are extremely talented.

As for pit stops, I have no idea but if it's worth anything I've been to Paducah, Kentucky once. :)

When my aunt visited last summer, I made reservations for us to eat dinner with an Amish family in Napannee, Indiana. Napannee is near Shipshewana. It was so much fun, interesting and we ate until I thought we would pop. I have their name and phone number if you are interested.

By the way, I am going to Paducah too!

We are planning to go to Paducah april of 2009(big quilting event), but my friends would also like to see the Amish country. I have heard of Shipshewna but would like to give them a real taste of Amish country and not just the touristy bits. Can anyone think of anything or place between Paducah, Kentucky and Shipshewna, Indiana that would make a fun and interesting pitstop? My friends are dutch so everything is new and different. Remember I am talking about older ladies.
