Working on a Four Patch Posey Quilt

I worked all day today on my four patch posey quilt. Have you ever heard of stack-n-wack quilts? Four Patch Posey quilts are similar in that you stack the fabric to make cuts. The Four Patch Posey reminds me of a kaleidoscope. Every time you put the pieces together to make a block, the pattern looks different. It is fun and addictive. I couldn’t wait to make the next block to see how the pattern turned out.

This is a picture of a block before it is put together. (I didn’t make this block).

Each time you turn the squares you get a different look.
Here are a four out of the 48 blocks I made.

Now, I need your help. Which color combination do you like for the trim around each block? All blue or blue and purple?

Only an opinion, but I would either do all blue or all purple, not a combination. I really like the blue better.

    I like the posey patterns.

The all blue makes your blocks “pop” better.

LOL! I don’t think you’re a spammer!!! Glad you asked me to take a look here. These are SO fun and gorgeous blocks. I am with the others on this one – the blue all around definitely brings out the pattern in the blocks better (that ‘pop’ idea!).

I prefer the all blue. It looks more even, I like symmetry.

I love this pattern you are working on. I think the dark blue color brings the color out of the flowers.
I also enjoy quilting but I haven’t had time to do it in the las couple of years.

Well, I guess I’m the odd ball, I like the combination of the blue & purple. I think on one individual block I like the all blue, but for an entire quilt, it might get boring. Can you do half the blocks all blue and half all purple?
