Taking a Break to Enjoy the View

Today was spent making a wallet for a client. My sister made an Xbag in UK fabric for her, (my client), and my client wanted a wallet to go with it. I have never made a wallet. I think I used my seam ripper more on this little project than any project I have ever tried. I had to take a break once in awhile because I was getting frustrated.

I was looking around my sewing room and noticed that my windows have been invaded by lady bugs. I got my vacuum out and sucked those intruders down the hose. That was a good tension reliever. I love my windows in that room!

When we built that room, we wanted to feel like we were outdoors while inside. We have 12 windows! The downside to having that many windows is that the sun can heat the room up quickly. We had solar shades installed before that first electric bill arrived. They are similar to the ones in this picture.

The Shade Store‘s solar shades not only save us money, they keep my furniture from fading. I love the fact that I can pull the shades but still see our beautiful view. I have bird feeders in prime locations and a pond that my dogs like to check for frogs. I have even seen a deer or two through those shades.

Take my advice and use solar shades. When you use the code: IZEA01 at The Shade Store, you can save 15% on your purchase.
