Oh! My Sister Makes Pretty Bags
I have to show you the beautiful bags my sister just finished. Her things always look so nice. She uses quilt-shop quality fabrics. I love the colors in these bags.

These are both great sized bags that can be used for anything from carrying groceries to using them as a diaper bag. You might want to carry your lunch in one! She might sell them so let me know if you are interested and I will ask her.

Karen, they are beautiful! Her work looks superb.
I love the colors – and what a great way to use small leftover pieces (if she’s a quilter!)

karen, the bags are great,
there is saying , what was old is new again,
So the idea is not new but nowadays looks like innovative
These are some beautiful bags and they’re a nice size. What materials are they made from? I’d be interested in buying one so I’d be grateful if you could email me if that’s possible. Thanks.
I make a few leather items. Small purses, etc. Use deer skin.
Karen great bags! You truly have a gift
There are some great trendy shops along Queen St here in Toronto that would die to carry some of your bags.

I’d love to see a laptop bag with quilt designs. I saw one that looks like a tote bag similar to what your sister makes. But it is a bit smaller and squarish with hard structure to make a box-like inside but soft-padded on both sides. I’m pretty sure this type of bag will create a laptop bag craze to working women.
what does that mean??? (the comments from Marlborougirl)
I am not sure what that comment means!
I sure wish I knew how to get hooked up with someone to make bags for.
Karen – why don’t you sell on Etsy? Then the entire world can see your bags.

I’m so jealous of you guys. I made a gumball machine shaped pillow in middle school sewing class, but that’s as far as my sewing skills went.

These bags look really neat and useful and your sister should really start selling them, especially if she has fun making them – which seems pretty obvious to me. The work of love cannot be mistaken for some junk…

I love bags and like to re-design some of it when it gets old and out of fashion. You’re sister is a talented one, she could be a designer in the future who knows, just tell her to continue doing her passion and practice makes everything perfect. Keep on designing and creating bags.:-)
those are cute! i love the second one. does she sell those?

ya’ll are gonna have to wait a little while, I’ve been using the market bag that I made, and I’m not really satisfied with the larger “strip” (brown) bag that I made. It was my first one.
and now my machine has been messing up, I have to take it in for repairs.
I do like reading the comments about them tho

both of the bags that I made were from kits. I ordered the kits because the fabric was already cut and matched. they were the first ones that I made like that. now, I can use my own fabrics.
Cute bags! =) I like the color and the design.. Your sister must be good on that..
