Heads or Tails #69
This week at Heads or Tails I chose to answer both Heads- anything round and tails-this time of year.
This time of year is when I look forward to decorating our Christmas tree. My kids would argue that I really don’t like to decorate the tree and that is the reason that they have done it for the past two years. In reality, it is because they were anxious to get it up and decorated and I was procrastinating. LOL
I have ornaments that are special to me. The ones that hold sentimental value are the ones my kids made when they were growing up. I have paper reindeer and clay stars. There are also a couple of ornaments with their pictures from elementary school on them. It is so much fun to see their tiny faces. 
My other favorite ornaments are the older ones that I inherited from my mom. These ornaments are balls that have an indentation in them. Inside the indent is a little decoration. I have never seen any ornaments like them. I have 4 left and I handle them with care.

Lovely pictures & sentiments – it takes me forever to hang the ornaments, because I have to go back and relive or share the memory of each one. Sometimes I do procrastinate, because I know it’s going to take so long! Merry Christmas!

For quite a few years, my mom has put up the “pretty tree”, which means everything matches; no homemade ornaments. This year she decided to put up the “ugly tree”, which means McDonald’s ornaments, paper stars, and popsicle stick sleighs, and it’s the funniest thing ever. I think she’s going to stick with the ugly tree from now on.

I really like the shape of your tree. I think that tall and trim type would fit really easily into just about any room.
It’s lovely to have sentimental ornaments to use year after year – I’ll bet your kids laugh over and remember the ones they made.
I inherited a few very special old ornaments from my aunt and have a small ‘tree shaped’ metal stand to display them on. It’s one of those sentimental treasures I put out and talk about every year
