Nice Surprise

Holy Smokes! I forgot all about answering some questions over at “5 Minutes for Mom.” They have published my answers in the form of an interview. Golly!

Addicted

Mom and I decided it was too nice of a day to sit inside and sew. She had heard about a fabric store in Noblesville that we needed to find. All I did was venture into the fabric store. I didn’t know they sold sewing machines. I didn’t know they would have the Janome 6600 [...]

Win from Table for Five

In this age of communicating with our computers, iPods and cell phones, it is easy to forget the art of letter writing. I love to write a note using beautiful stationery. Elizabeth over at Table for Five is giving away a beautiful box of stationery. This beautiful stationery is from Paperlicious and has a retail [...]

I Love Incentive Packages

Times have certainly changed in our business. When the previous owners told us the incentives they used to receive, we were blown away. Salesmen brought glassware, notepads, pens and even bicycles to earn their loyalty. At least we are still offered vacation packages. Bellwether Rewards offers corporate incentive programs similar to the ones in which [...]

Tackle It Tuesday Balanced Quilt

I am going to finish the pinwheel topper that I started in class last week. I have to put the binding on and it will be finished. Yay! The baby quilt has a ways to go but if I finish this topper then at least I will have finished one class item.

What I Would Have Done

We had a great time at the wedding. The bride and groom dated for 8 years and it was special to see them get married. Some people said, “finally” but they didn’t care. It was a beautiful heartfelt ceremony. The reception was nice but felt so hmm, how can I describe it. It was in [...]

Here Comes the Bride

Oh boy! Tomorrow we are going to a wedding in the southern part of Indiana. Little Katie is getting married. I cannot believe she has graduated from college and is getting married. I hope I don’t cry. I am amazed that I got the wedding gift wrapped. I am usually in a rush at the [...]

They Get Into Your House

I am so disgusted by all the ants in my house. Hubby told me to contact an exterminator and so I am looking at ratings. I don’t want just any fly by night company putting pesticides around my house. I saw a large picture of a termite on Kill the Termite’s website. Man are they [...]

Balanced Quilt

I have been working on a baby quilt that I started in a class. We learned a new way to make flying geese quilt blocks. It requires a special ruler that is quite nifty. We had a choice to make a boy or girl quilt and mine is for a girl. I like the way [...]

Get Qualified Prospects

Wouldn’t it be nice if when a telemarketer called you really were interested in what they had to offer? Utilizing a targeted business mailing list could actually be a good thing! When I am interested in finding new products for my hobbies, I am all ears. For instance, I have been searching for a stabilizer [...]
