It Makes You Go Hmmm

Have you changed the way you feel about things since you began reading blogs? I have strong feeling on certain things but I don’t always know why I feel the way I do. Was I born with the feelings or did I learn them. When did I decide that I felt certain ways about marriage, religion, politics and other subjects? The Internet has given me a safe place to check out how other people feel about things. I hate confrontation so I shy away from debates in public arenas. I do enjoy hearing both sides of an issue when I can read about it online.

I came across an interesting blog called formykountry that deals with all sorts of topics. The author comes from a very different background than the one I came from. That makes it all the more interesting to me! I particularly enjoyed one article. #50-10 dealt with the standard set of questions that the Catholic Church asked couples when they were preparing for marriage. Hubby and I had to go through that in our church. We were asked what our thoughts were on raising children, birth control and financial ideas just to name a few. The article, Sex or Ice Cream, dealt with a hypothetical situation in which you were stranded on a desert island. I won’t tell you about the rest of the article so that you can see how the question was set up and the rules were put into play. All I will say that it makes you think!

The writing on this blog comes from all different angles and covers a vast array of subjects. It is a wonderful blog to get your mental juices flowing. Check it out.

Well, I agree with you, my laptop and internet are my best friends, I’m an introverted type of person, so I spend most of my time online, hiding from the crowd. Not only I hate confrontation, I hate speaking out in the crowd, lack of confidence I guess. In the blogging world, I can say whatever I want, let alone I can read whatever I want.

Anyways, belated Merry Christmas and have a happy new year

I am finally reading comments on my blog! It is good that we can meet friends through the Internet. I’m not so much introverted since I work with the public everyday. I just get tired of dealing with people. On the net, like you said, I can pick and choose what and who I want to deal with.
